- The Lettuce
Now this might be a pleasant diet food, especially for those who are not keen in eating green leafies like the lettuce. However, you must know that green leafy vegetables such as lettuce can be filling to the tummy. What is good about the green leafy veggies is that, you can actually eat a lot of them without worrying about the calories since they have a very low caloric count. Moreover, if you will consume a large quantity of these green leafies, you will not be able to quickly finish eating, thereby, helping you feel fuller.
Studies have shown that people usually consume meals within a 5 to 10-minute range, but, then again, 20 minutes is what is needed in order for the satiety level is reached. Once the satiety level is reached, your body will tell you that you have already consumed enough. So, the trick? Eat slowly and eat the green leafies.
- Dark Chocolate
Many people think that if you want to lose weight, you will have to cut all the sweets away and specifically, no more chocolates. But, fortunately, not all chocolates need to be banned – hooray for the chocolate lovers! The dark chocolate is suggested for people who are trying to lose weight. Dark chocolate can be more filling compared to the other types of chocolates such as the milk chocolate – this is according to the findings released by the University of Copenhagen. People who are eating dark chocolate (100 grams) and are allowed to eat as much as pizza as they wanted actually ate only about 15 percent lesser pizzas compared to when they ate milk chocolate of the same amount before their meal. Participants for this study also reportedly felt fewer sweet, fatty, and salty hankerings.
